“Working from home because of COVID-19 has brought me closer to many of our participants who seemed a bit shy in person. I notice that some of our participants tend to express themselves and speak more at the comfort of their own home. I enjoy the one on one conversation with our participants because I am finding out more fun facts about their personal life and interests.
“I miss seeing the interaction between our STARS when we are together in person, but I believe the bond that we have created will only grow stronger as time progresses.”

“Although I miss our regular everyday routine of Trailblazers, I am also enjoying getting to see what a positive experience the virtual programs have been and continue to be for so many of our participants. I have enjoyed getting to know and interact with a larger group of STARs because of the classes being a mix of all of the Trailblazers groups and participants—even those who are currently not in Florida! This experience has been really cool for me, being newer to the STARability Foundation. I have enjoyed getting to spend virtual time with many participants I have not previously met or been able to talk to! I am thankful that these experiences and connections have been able to happen and that our programs are continuing to grow every day without us even having to meet in person, which is really amazing!
