Rick Gallo
Rick Gallo has been calling benefit auctions as a volunteer since 2003. After obtaining his license in 2016, he’s worked as an auctioneer from Maine to Miami. In the past year, he has helped charities raise over $18 million. Rick and his wife, Barb, split their time between Southwest Florida and upstate New York.

Carrie Cooney
Carrie is a community volunteer. She helped form STARability Foundation’s Trailblazer Academy so her son Brett and other individuals with intellectual disabilities can be engaged members of our community. Carrie is a member of STARability Board of Directors. The Cooneys’ passion is their son and ensuring that he and other STAR participants have a bright future in our community.

John Cooney
John is a partner of Stofft Cooney Architects. He is a renowned architect of luxury homes that blend form, vision, style, and structure in our community. His passion is his son and ensuring that he and other STAR participants have a bright future in our community.

Mary Smallwood
Mary Smallwood, a solution-based artist is the Creative Director and CEO of Mary Smallwood Accessories. In her family’s business of building custom homes, the use of innovative materials and techniques is a constant, and Mary believes these same principles should apply to fashion and lifestyle.

Joe Smallwood
Joe Smallwood founded BCB Homes, Inc. in 1993 as the President. Since then, Joe has led the company through a significant period of growth, establishing BCB Homes, Inc. as one of the leading contractors in Southwest Florida. Joe is a member of STARability Board of Directors.

Therese O’Shea
Therese has been a broadcast journalist in TV/radio in SWFL since 2013. She’s newly transitioned corporate communications professional for Arthrex. Therese is a mom of two and supporter of several SWFL charitable organizations, including St. Matthew’s House, The Immokalee Foundation, local education and STARability Foundation.
