Development Manager

The Development Manager is a key STARability Foundation leadership team member, responsible for driving fundraising efforts and donor engagement strategies. In collaboration with the Chief Development Officer (CDO), this role oversees day-to-day development operations, ensuring revenue goals are met and team initiatives align with organizational priorities. The Development Manager is critical in coordinating fundraising activities, monitoring progress, and optimizing donor relationships.

Through strategic outreach, effective communication, and resource management, this position advances the organization’s mission to empower individuals with disabilities to thrive.

Office & Administrative Coordinator

The Office & Administrative Coordinator is a vital member of the STARability Foundation team, responsible for supporting Human Resources and Accounting functions while overseeing daily office operations. This role ensures efficiency by managing administrative tasks, coordinating facility-related needs across multiple locations, and maintaining smooth internal operations. The Office & Administrative Coordinator contributes to the organization’s overall effectiveness.

Through strong organizational skills, resource management, and effective communication, this position is key in advancing STARability’s mission to empower individuals with disabilities to thrive.

Program Specialist | Trailblazer Academy

The Academy Program Specialist is an integral member of the STARability Foundation. The Specialist has a passion for advocating for participants and is dedicated to building proficiency in these skills: self-determination and advocacy, health and safety, communication and socialization, leisure and recreation, transportation, community participation and personal finance, career path and employment, and home living.

The Academy Program Specialist will support specific curriculum and daily operational areas. With their leadership, they will be a resource for all other Program Instructors and Program Assistants.

Program Instructor | Trailblazer Academy

The Instructor is an integral member of the STARability Foundation. The Instructor has a passion for advocating for participants and is dedicated to building proficiency in these skills: self-determination and advocacy, health and safety, communication and socialization, leisure and recreation, transportation, community participation and personal finance, career path and employment, and home living.

The Instructor will collaborate closely with our Academy Program Specialists to shape, guide, and assess all facets of the program. The Instructor will be a resource for all Program Assistants.

Substitute Music Instructor | STARability Music Academy

The Substitute Music Instructor is an integral member of the STARability Music Academy.. The Substitute Music Instructor is crucial in ensuring the efficient and effective day program operation for adults with intellectual disabilities. This position is centered around familiarizing yourself with the Music Academy’s daily schedule and stepping in as needed. Duties may include teaching piano, guitar, voice, music theory, music history, and music technology. The substitute instructor will follow lesson plans provided by the absent teacher but should be flexible and able to adapt lessons when necessary. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, resourceful, and committed to fostering an inclusive learning environment.

Program Assistant | Trailblazer Academy

The Program Assistant is an integral member of the STARability Foundation. The Program Assistant has a passion for advocating for participants and is dedicated to building proficiency in these skills: self-determination and advocacy, health and safety, communication and socialization, leisure and recreation, transportation, community participation and personal finance, career path and employment, and home living.

As a Program Assistant, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting our dedicated team of Instructors and Academy Program Specialists, engaging directly with participants, assisting in lessons, facilitating vocational training, coordinating community activities, and providing coverage across program areas as needed.

Job Coach | Career Services

The Job Coach provides direct, individualized support to participants in securing and maintaining employment. This includes assistance at every stage of the employment process, such as pre-employment training, job search activities, interviewing, on-the-job training, and ongoing career development. The Job Coach works closely with employers to facilitate a smooth transition into the workplace by helping participants learn job tasks, establish routines, build natural supports, and promote independence. The Job Coach supports participants in programs focused on vocational training, interpersonal skills development, employment readiness, and career exploration.
