Program Instructor | Trailblazer Academy
The Trailblazer Academy is a community-based vocational training and educational program for post-high school individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Program Instructor will support the Program Director and the Virtual Program Manager in developing, mentoring, conducting and evaluating all the components of the Trailblazer Academy.
Program Instructor | Jr. Trailblazer Academy
The after-school Program Instructor for the Jr. Trailblazer Academy will assist their team in facilitating classes and activities in a classroom setting and out in the community. This position will also conduct assessments and make recommendations that will benefit the participant in building life skills and reaching individual goals to increase their independence. Through this program, participants have the opportunity to interact with our community partners, and so the instructor should have a passion for advocating for the participants while out in the community.
Program Assistant | Trailblazer Academy
The Program Assistant will support the Instructors and Program Specialists by directly working with participants which includes aiding in lessons, facilitating vocational training and community activities, and stepping in to cover in any program area. The Program Assistant should have a passion for advocating for the participants while out in the community and provide quality experiences to help them reach their individual goals while recognizing their unique abilities.
Job Coach | Vocational Services
The Vocational Services Job Coach helps people with disabilities learn and perform their job duties by working with individuals one-on-one and/or in a small group. The Job Coach serves as a support to the STARability Vocational Services Manager in promoting successful employment placements. On-site job coaching occurs through shadowing the employee, making observations, identifying opportunities to assist, and providing feedback. Job Coach activities can also entail supporting participants in programming focused on vocational training, interpersonal skill development, employment readiness, and career exploration.
