Today, we celebrate 22 years of bringing awareness to Fragile X. Over the years, the reach of awareness has grown exponentially as our community has expanded and groups around the world join in their own efforts to raise awareness of Fragile X.
What is Fragile X?
Fragile X Syndrome (FXS) is a genetic condition that causes intellectual disability, behavioral and learning challenges, and various physical characteristics. Life expectancy is not affected in people with FXS because there are usually no life-threatening health concerns associated with the condition.
