How to Accept a Zoom Invitation

  1. Open any web browser from a desktop or laptop computer (Google Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Safari, etc.)
  2. Go to your email and look for an email in your inbox from a STARability staff member, such as “STARability Marketing Department” or “Susan Ford,” with the subject “Please join Zoom meeting in progress.” Open the email.
  3. Write down on a piece of paper the Meeting ID and Password contained in the email (or keep your email tab open so you can copy and paste from it).
  4. In a separate tab or browser window, type in or copy and paste the link that is directly under the words “Join Zoom Meeting” into the address bar. Press enter.
  5. If you don’t have Zoom installed on your computer, it will now ask you to do so.
  6. Follow the prompts on your computer to install Zoom (see video if you need help with this!).
  7. Once Zoom is installed, a new window will appear asking you to “Join Meeting.” Click the “Join Meetin” button.
  8. When prompted, enter the Meeting ID and Password from your email invitation.
  9. Click “Join with Video.”
  10. Click “Join with Computer Audio/”
  11. Congrats! You are in the meeting.
