STARability announces final sale at Home Collection

As STARability Foundation continues preparations for its future campus and expanded programming, the organization announced today that it will close its Home Collection retail store as part of a strategic transition designed to align resources with its long-term growth plans and mission.

Located in the Naples Design District, the Home Collection has served as a destination for upscale furniture, home décor and unique finds while helping support the organization’s mission of transforming the lives of people with autism and other developmental disabilities. The Home Collection will begin a liquidation sale on June 11, offering 50% off all merchandise. The store’s final day of operation will be July 8.

“Over the past several years, the Home Collection has played an important role in raising awareness for STARability and engaging the community in our mission,” said Karen Govern, CEO of STARability Foundation. “As we prepare for the next phase of growth, including our new campus and expanded services, we are thoughtfully aligning our resources to ensure we remain focused on the areas where we can create the greatest impact for our STAR participants and families.”

With construction and planning efforts already underway for STARability’s future campus, including the transformative Golisano Program Center, the organization is taking proactive steps to ensure its facilities, staffing and resources are well positioned to support expanded programming and future growth. The new campus will significantly increase STARability’s capacity to provide vocational training, continuing education, life skills development, support services and community engagement opportunities. The future campus is being developed to meet growing demand for services and create a permanent home for innovative, participant-centered programs that empower individuals to lead meaningful and productive lives.

Following the store’s closure, STARability’s development and marketing team will relocate into the Home Collection space. This transition will free up space within the organization’s current facility to support additional program operations and phased staffing growth as STARability prepares for its move to the new campus next year.

Community members are encouraged to visit the Home Collection during the final sale.
