STARability Becomes First-time Grantee of NCEF

STARability Foundation has been awarded a $30,000 grant for our Junior Trailblazer Academy program from the Naples Children & Education Foundation (NCEF), founders of the Naples Winter Wine Festival.

The Naples Winter Wine Festival (NWWF), one of the world’s most prestigious charity wine auctions, offers a weekend of unforgettable memories. Guests enjoy world-class food and wine during intimate dinners in private homes and are invited to bid on once-in-a-lifetime travel and wine experiences during an electrifying live auction. Since its inaugural event in 2001, the NWWF has raised nearly $244 million, making a great difference in the lives of hundreds of thousands of children.

We are so grateful to the Naples Children & Education Foundation for its support. Because of NCEF, we’ll be able to grow the Junior Trailblazer Academy and help more high school students with intellectual and developmental disabilities develop their life skills as they prepare for young adulthood, says STARability CEO Karen Govern.

The Junior Trailblazer Academy is a structured after-school program that offers vocational training, continuing education and life-enriching opportunities such as art, health and wellness activities to students with intellectual and developmental disabilities between the ages 14 and 21 who attend Collier County high schools.
