STARability Earns a Four-Star Rating from Charity Navigator

STARability Foundation is proud to announce that its strong financial health and ongoing accountability and transparency has earned a Four-Star Rating from Charity Navigator. This rating designates STARability as an official “Give with Confidence” charity, indicating an effective use of its donations based on Charity Navigator’s criteria.

“Our Four-Star Charity Navigator rating is further validation that our supporters and the community can trust our commitment to good governance and financial health,” said Karen Govern, CEO of STARability Foundation. “Every donation allows us to remain focused on advancing our mission to shine a light on ability, not disability.”

Charity Navigator is America’s largest and most-utilized independent charity evaluator. The organization analyzes nonprofit performance based on four key indicators, referred to as beacons. Currently, nonprofits can earn scores for the Impact and Results, Accountability and Finance, Culture and Community, and Leadership and Adaptability beacons.

“We are delighted to provide STARability Foundation with third-party accreditation that validates their operational excellence,” said Michael Thatcher, President and CEO of Charity Navigator. “The Four-Star Rating is the highest possible rating an organization can achieve. We are eager to see the good work that STARability is able to accomplish in the years ahead.”

STARability offers a variety of innovative, results-driven programs designed to accommodate the needs of each unique participant through teaching life skills, providing vocational training and building an inclusive community where participants have the opportunity to connect through meaningful and fulfilling social experiences.
