STARability Foundation has launched two new programs focused on social connections and life skills development. Offered year-round to groups of 10-12 individuals, advance registration and enrollment with STARability are required.
The “Game Room” allows participants to come together with friends, make new connections and play all-time favorite board and cards games, trivia and much more. The group will meet on Thursdays from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
“I’m looking forward to having fun and meeting new people,” said STARability participant Tiffany W. “My favorite game to play is UNO. I’m very happy STARability is offering this new Game Room program. It gets me more involved.”
The “Life Enrichment Class” will help participants explore ways to set themselves up for daily success by learning skills, such as how to keep their lives clean and healthy; understanding how to stay safe in any environment; improving daily nutrition and wellness choices; making smart financial decisions; and being aware of ways to feel their best throughout the day. Participants will meet on Mondays from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Meetings for both new program sessions will take place at STARability’s office located at 5125 Castello Drive in Naples.
“The new Game Room and Life Enrichment Class have been highly anticipated and we’re excited to offer these valuable programs to our STARs,” said Karen Govern, CEO of STARability Foundation. “Both programs will be key additions to the list of activities and events we offer to our STARs, giving participants the opportunity to work on social skills and develop new friendships in our Game Room and learn skills that will benefit their everyday lives in the Life Enrichment Class.” For more information on current programs, visit STARability.org or email Connor Nehls, STARability’s enrollment and volunteer manager, at connor@STARability.org.
