Nearly 370 participants came out to run, walk and roll in STARability Foundation’s 5th Annual 3K/5K on Saturday, Oct. 22, at Paradise Coast Sports Complex in Naples. As a new race option this year, 70 runners participated in a 5K timed by Florida Race Day. STARability raised $75,791, making it the most successful race to date. Funds will be used to expand innovative programs and services that shine light on ability, not disability and meet increasing community needs.
“We are extremely grateful to everyone who attended and helped make this event possible,” said Karen Govern, CEO of STARability Foundation. “We could not have surpassed our $75,000 fundraising goal without the support of our community. This family- and pet-friendly inclusive event for all ages and abilities is a true representation of our mission. Witnessing the sense of accomplishment and pure happiness as our STARs cross the finish line is absolutely priceless and inspiring.”
