The structure, consistency and community that our programs offer our STARs ended on March 16 when we suspended programs because of the COVID-19 outbreak. However, we quickly tailored our face-to-face programs to virtual platforms. In April, participants engaged in 1,791 virtual experiences.
Our STARs continue to shine a light on their ability, not their disability, by learning and engaging with their community–despite COVID-19.
Your support is vital because it means that our STARs can continue participating in innovative virtual classes and activities now during these difficult times and when our programs resume in person.
