CREATE A DIVERSIFIED WORKFORCE

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, businesses who have diversified their workforce to include people with disabilities reported a 90% increase in retention of valued employees and a 72% increase in employee productivity. These individuals excel in the areas of attendance, punctuality, job tenure and adherence to policies and procedures.

Approved VR Provider

As an approved provider for the Florida Department of Education Vocational Rehabilitation (VR), we offer job readiness services and connect individuals with local employers and job training sites. Our dedicated and VR certified Vocational Services Manager provides comprehensive services such as skill and interest assessments, resume building, job placement, on-the-job coaching and long-term follow-up.

Benefit for Employers

Partnering with STARability Foundation gives your business support in hiring employees with intellectual and developmental disabilities whose talents align with your business goals. Our job coaches offer assistance during the on-boarding, orientation, skill development and retention process. Additionally, STARability provides on-site training for managers and staff to support existing diversity initiatives and enhance workplace culture. Furthermore, businesses accommodating people with disabilities may qualify for tax credits and deductions. More detailed information may be found in the IRS publications.
