Meet Sue! A STARability volunteer since 2018, Sue currently volunteers with our Next Chapter Book Club on Thursday mornings along with Program & Volunteer Coordinator Nehls. She first learned of STARability after hearing CEO Karen Govern speak at a local event in 2018. A retired lawyer and English teacher, Sue belongs to three book clubs herself and loves bringing good stories and conversation to STAR participants. Sue has loved watching the minds of STARability participants grow and admires their wisdom and courage and considers them dear friends.
My best memories are of the fun times we had a meeting in person at the coffee shop and having coffee and snacks and talking about the book and how they relate to our lives. Hopefully, we will be able to meet in person again sometime soon.
